Authors: Bansal, Rajat; Shah, Rajiv Ratn (Advisor)
Abstract: Formality is an important dimension of language style. Texts of different genres tend to have different degrees of formality. The project aims at analyzing Reddit submissions across various categories/discourses and finding if a correlation exists between Formality of the submission and how viral the submission becomes. A variety of experiments were carried out to verify the same and if possible observe any interesting patterns that might emerge.</summary>
