Abstract:
Colocated experiences among strangers open a door to opportunities to allow meaningful experiences shared by people who have never met before. These experiences are complex in their approach, aim, and involvement of participants. Through this report, we scope out the current research space in colocated experiences and try to understand how these experiences can be used for strangers by researching how icebreaking can be tackled effectively. We encounter Asymmetry that encourages communication in experiences and can be readily leveraged by AR, becoming our prime area of focus. We finally introduce our study by discussing our study design and experience design, and discuss our future direction in a concluding remark.
