Abstract: This research project explores the transformative impact of Augmented Reality (AR) technology on cultural heritage tourism, focusing on the Qutub Minar complex in Delhi, India. The innovative AR application developed aims to provide an immersive experience with features such as AR-based navigation, 3D models, and personalized recommendations. Through user interviews, competitive analysis, and prototyping, the study establishes design guidelines for integrating AR into cultural sites. Using a case study approach, the research investigates the integration of AR technology in historical site exploration, emphasizing the Indian context. Co-creation sessions and thorough primary and secondary research uncover the potential of AR in enhancing the heritage encounter. The research contributes practical design guidelines for effectively integrating AR within cultural sites, emphasizing a user-centric approach to address diverse needs. The outlined roadmap for deploying AR experiences at Qutub Minar promises to enrich cultural heritage exploration, bridging traditional narratives with contemporary technology. This research provides valuable insights for scholars, practitioners, and enthusiasts navigating the evolving landscape of technology-driven heritage tourism.
