Abstract: This Report investigates the complex dynamics of air pollution in two megacities, Delhi and Beijing, and presents a comparative analysis of their pollution mitigation strategies and outcomes. After acquiring and preprocessing air quality datasets, the study employs data visualization techniques to explore trends in AQI and PM2.5 levels over time. Notably, the analysis delves into the frequency of high-pollution days, particularly during winter, shedding light on seasonal variations and the severity of pollution episodes. Through an in-depth examination of policy interventions and regulatory frameworks gleaned from academic literature, news reports, and official documents, the research dissects the multifaceted approaches adopted by Delhi and Beijing. WhileBeijing's concerted efforts have significantly reduced air pollution, Delhi grapples withpersistent challenges, underscoring the urgency for more effective measures.Furthermore, leveraging machine learning techniques, the study develops predictive models to forecast AQI trends for both cities over the next five years. These forecast soffer valuable insights for policymakers, enabling them to anticipate future air quality scenarios and devise proactive strategies to safeguard public health and the environment.
