dc.description.abstractQUIC is google’s latest protocol built on the application layer over the UDP transport, and is utilised by major services provided by google all over the world. This has led to comparisons between QUIC and TCP, the protocol which was the predominant choice before the arrival of QUIC. With an increase in Cloud Computing and Server hosting on different platforms, more and more commercial businesses are moving towards virtualized environment, cloud platforms, docker. We wanted to see what is the impact of virtualization on network, specially of type-2 hypervisor and find out if there are any significant differences if a server is hosted on bare-metal, or a virtual machine given the protocols TCP and QUIC.en_US
