Creativity, Innovation, and Inventive Problem Solving (CIIPS)
Khorwal, Divyam; Bansal, Kartik; Kushwaha, Vinit Kumar; Grover, Anuj (Advisor)
The Creativity, Innovation, and Inventive Problem Solving (CIIPS) course serves as a cornerstone for fostering creative thinking, systematic innovation, and entrepreneurial skills among students. Through a structured curriculum that integrates brainstorming methods, problem modeling, and solution evaluation techniques, the course aims to equip students with the tools to address complex challenges and drive innovation. However, the evolving nature of the course, coupled with its diverse methodologies, necessitates a thorough evaluation to understand its impact and identify areas for improvement. This project investigates the effectiveness of the CIIPS course by analyzing its ability to enhance creativity, develop systematic problem-solving skills, and inspire innovation. It explores the long-term relevance of the course content, identifies gaps between theoretical knowledge and practical application, and evaluates the impact of various course iterations on student engagement and outcomes. By gathering feedback from students and alumni, the study aims to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the course. The findings of this study will inform the future design of the CIIPS course, ensuring it remains engaging, practical, and impactful. By addressing issues such as psychological inertia, creativity blockages, and challenges in generating patentable ideas, this project seeks to enhance the course’s ability to prepare students for real-world challenges and entrepreneurial endeavors. Ultimately, the goal is to refine the CIIPS course into a more robust and effective program that inspires students to think innovatively, solve complex problems, and contribute meaningfully to society and industry.

Different case studies of individuals who had gone through some of these risks are included to provide a comprehensive and nuanced understanding. These narratives give a broader understanding of the real-world implications of these risks. The paper also analyzes key patterns in how users navigate these risks and prioritise safety either through platform features or even complete disengagement in some cases from the dating apps, it also highlights the factors which influence such behaviors such as sex, sexual orientation, race, etc. The study thereby aims to understand the interplay of various dynamics when it comes to what kind of harms can be caused to which type of groups in the era of online dating. Thereby also emphasizing the urgent need for a safe online dating space that account for diversity and equality by minimizing the risks.
