Abstract:
India's food industry faces critical challenges with its centralized supply chains, including single point failures, quality issues, and data integrity. There's a high rate of food fraud, contamination, and adulteration, threatening public health, especially among children. To address this, we propose a blockchain-based supply chain platform for staples like milk, cheese, and butter. Blockchain's capacity for decentralization, transparency, and tamper-proofing can revolutionize supply chains, enhancing food safety, economic viability, and reducing counterfeit products. This platform integrates smart contracts, QR codes, and IoT, aiming to improve the food industry's efficiency, security, and contribution to sustainability in India.
