Abstract:
The Government of India has initiated the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) to improve healthcare accessibility through the digitization and consolidation of patient data processes. TavLabs' PHR team proposes an NDHM-compliant Personal Health Records (PHR) platform, prioritizing a user-centric approach. Our application serves as a centralized repository for storing medical history, empowering users to maintain a comprehensive timeline of their medical conditions and treatments. In this semester, our primary focus was on introducing a new feature and redesigning the app's user interface, emphasizing regular monitoring of vital health metrics and prescriptions. The newly added feature enables users to track essential vitals, including heart rate, calories, steps, and blood sugar. This functionality is particularly beneficial for individuals with chronic health conditions or those requiring close health monitoring. Alongside vital tracking, the app introduces a Timeline section, offering users a historical overview of all health-related data. This visual representation encompasses medical conditions, treatments, and vital data, facilitating better management of chronic conditions and informed decision-making about one's health. Additionally, a Digital Locker feature has been incorporated for easy document retrieval, enhancing user convenience. These key features are prominently displayed on the homepage for quick access. The redesigned UI not only improves functionality but also enhances aesthetics, offering a more visually appealing experience. In essence, these additions elevate the app's capability to provide a comprehensive solution for managing patient health records on mobile devices, aligning with the objectives of the National Digital Health Mission.
