dc.description.abstract In the millimetre wave and sub-6 GHz band, next-generation wireless communication systems are anticipated to offer high-mobility Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communication services. This necessitates precise user tracking to form well-directed beams and achieve the desired throughput. Joint radar-communication (JRC) systems, which provide accurate localisation without requiring separate radar transceivers and spectrums, are one possible option. JRC systems embed radar waveforms within the communication spectrum. In this project, we aim to develop HLS IPs for joint radar-communication (JRC) transceivers on FPGA, followed by functional and complexity analysis for different wireless channel environments, target patterns and word length. Our novel contributions include hardware IPs for LDPC encoders and decoders, Scramblers and De-Scrambler, QPSK Modulator and De-Modulator, IEEE 802.11ad/ay based OFDM PHY for single and multi-antenna systems, and beamformers. The project’s outcome is to demonstrate the BER between the input codeword and the output codeword. en_US
