dc.description.abstract Within a hybrid cloud environment, which has proven more effective than exclusive edge or cloud setups, a request may traverse from edge-to-edge or edge-to-cloud paths as per the request’s demand. Presently, communication pathways involve synchronous communication protocol (REST and gRPC) for edge-to-edge and edge-to-cloud interactions. Nonetheless, experiments suggest that asynchronous mechanisms like MQTT could offer superior performance for edge-to-cloud communication, particularly over WAN. Our project aims to design a service that enables dynamic protocol switching that can be integrated with the proxy. en_US
