dc.description.abstract This project focuses on the annotation and clustering of functional gene classes in microbiome genomes. Microbiomes, complex communities of microorganisms, play vital roles in various biological processes. Understanding the functional attributes encoded in their genomes is crucial for comprehending their ecological significance. Through computational techniques and bioinformatics tools, functional gene annotation was performed on microbiome genomic data obtained from prominent databases, revealing putative functions of gene sequences. Additionally, functional gene clustering facilitated the identification of functionally related genes, unveiling potential pathways and interactions within microbial communities. The results uncovered patterns in gene classes, highlighting the roles of individual microorganisms and their collective impact on community functionality. These insights have significant implications for environmental science, human health, and biotechnology, providing a foundation for further research in understanding microbiome genomics and its diverse applications. en_US
